  • Which is the best ESP out there?

Personally, I think Active Campaign is the best ESP out there.

It has excellent deliverability and is intuitive to use. 

Plus, it has a bunch of native integration that work seamlessly. Which means you don’t need to use Zapier to pass over information.

  • Can I send out cold emails?

Yes, you can. But you need an ESP that permits this.

For instance, Active Campaign does not allow sending bulk, automated cold emails. Get Response does.

  • What sort of revenues can I generate from email?

As a thumb rule, you can generate $1/lead/month from email.

So, if you have a list of 20,000 leads, you should aim for $240K/year or $20K/mo.

  • Can I use Chat GPT for creating my email copy?

ChatGPTA is an insane tool with a range of exciting possibilities.

Having said that, AI copy cannot replace human copy…at least for now. The content is clearly lacking depth.

But, it’s an excellent research assistant to be used for generating new ideas, and copy angles.

  • What is a good open rate?

20%+.

But, I am managing some small lists that have open rates of 50%+ too.

How the lead has entered your ecosystem matters a lot. Plus, have you been nurturing your leads constantly? 

If you have been bombarding your list with sales emails, your domain health and your open rate will naturally suffer

  • How can I increase my open rates?

🔥Tip#1: Reward your subscribers. Every subscriber is like a guest who comes to your house. Treat them nice!

🔥Tip#2:Avoid HTML-heavy emails. Split-test sending out text-only emails

🔥Tip #3: Do not use trigger words in the subject line. So, don’t use the “$” sign and replace words like “FREE” with “Complimentary”

🔥Tip #4: Do not use price tags unless absolutely necessary. Yes, GMAIL is smart. It can read your email content and anything with a price tag has a high likelihood of landing in the promotions tab.

  • What is the easiest way to generate revenues from email?

A promotional deadline sequence is the easiest way to bring in some quick revenues.

Doing a promotional sequence once a quarter might be a good idea.

But don’t overdo it, or it will hurt your normal sales process.

  • I have good open rates and click-through rates. But I am unable to generate revenues. What could be the issue?

It’s likely that your sales process is the bottleneck.

Are you selling high-ticket off a call? If your email copy is calling out to the right leads, it’s possible that your sales rep is not doing a good enough job of selling.

If you are selling off a page, the bottle-neck might be your page copy and design.
